La Crosse Tree Pros

Commercial Tree Services

La Crosse Tree Pros handles removal, trimming, and storm cleanup on commercial property in La Crosse, Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, and La Crescent. Offices, retail lots, HOAs, churches, and campuses all get the same rule: the work window fits your hours so customers and staff can still use the place. As a commercial tree service we put each tree, the work, and the cleanup on a written scope after a free walk-through. One estimate can cover more than one property you manage.

Commercial Tree Removal and Trimming

Commercial tree work runs on the property's schedule. Lots, walks, and entrances stay usable while the work happens.

  • Office Parks and Retail Lots

Parking lot islands, storefront plantings, and trees along entrances take a beating from road salt, compacted soil, and car doors. We remove dead and declining lot trees, raise crowns over stalls and sidewalks, and clear limbs off signs and pole lights.

Work can be scheduled after close or on a weekend so customers can still park.

  • HOA and Apartment Common Areas

Common-area trees belong to the association, and the board needs a clear scope before it votes on spending. We walk the grounds with the manager or a board member, list each tree with the work it needs, and note which trees are hazards and which can wait.

You get the work window ahead of time for resident notices, and cars get moved out of the drop zone before cutting starts.

  • Schools, Churches, and Campuses

Institutional grounds have big, old trees next to buildings, sidewalks, and playgrounds, plus a lot of foot traffic. We set drop zones with cones and tape, section trees over roofs and walks with ropes and rigging, and schedule around classes, services, and events.

Hazardous trees and dying ash on private institutional grounds are the usual jobs. We do not claim a city contract.

  • Commercial Tree Removal

Removals on commercial property follow the same drop-zone planning as a house, with more people and vehicles to keep clear. Dead ash, storm-damaged trees, and trees lifting pavement or crowding a building are typical.

The stump can be ground in the same visit so the island or lawn is ready for replanting. See tree removal for how we plan a takedown.

  • Commercial Tree Trimming

Scheduled trimming keeps limbs off roofs, signs, and walkways and keeps sight lines open at entrances and drive lanes. Deadwood comes out before it lands on a car or a customer.

Oaks get trimmed outside the April to July oak wilt window, and elms in the dormant season. See tree trimming for the cuts we make.

  • Builder and Developer Site Prep

Developers and general contractors need trees, brush, and stumps off a site before grading. We coordinate with the GC on access, clearing limits, and where wood can go, and we protect the trees the site plan keeps.

Stumps are ground or left for the excavator, per the plan. See land clearing for the details.

Our 4-Step Commercial Tree Service Process

  1. 1

    Walk the Property

We walk the site with the manager and list each tree: species, condition, what it hangs over, and the work it needs. You get a written scope by tree.

  2. 2

    Set the Work Window

Work gets booked around your hours, including evenings or weekends, so the lot and the entrances stay usable.

  3. 3

    Control the Drop Zone

Cones and tape go up, people and cars stay out, and trees over pavement or buildings come down in rigged sections.

  4. 4

    Clear the Pavement

Chips, logs, and sawdust leave with us. Lots, walks, and entrances get blown off before we call the job done.

Commercial Tree Service FAQs

Can tree work happen before we open or after we close?

Yes. Evenings or weekends can be scheduled, and we set the work window with you on the estimate. Loud work like chipping can go at the times that bother tenants and customers least.

Who handles the street trees in front of our building?

Boulevard and street trees are public trees, and La Crosse Forestry handles them. Call 608-789-8679 for pruning or removal requests. We work on the trees on your side of the property line, including islands and lawns inside your lot.

Can dead ash trees on a campus or HOA property come down in one project?

Yes, and doing them together often makes sense. Emerald ash borer is in all 72 Wisconsin counties (DNR), so infested ash on the same grounds tends to decline around the same time, and the DNR notes that dead ash gets riskier and costlier to remove the longer it stands. A large ash removal can be phased by area or done in one push, with stumps ground at the end.

Can one estimate cover several properties we manage?

Yes. We walk each site and put them on one estimate with a separate line for each property, so you can approve them together or one at a time. Scheduling can be grouped to cut travel between sites.

What should a property manager ask any tree company for before work starts?

Ask for a written scope that lists each tree and the work, a certificate of insurance naming your company, the work window, and who handles cleanup and any damage. Check that the scope matches what you walked. For street trees, confirm with La Crosse Forestry that the tree is yours to cut.
